Step by step

How the machine works

Don't worry – the slush machine is easy to operate. Here you'll find the complete process from setup to cleaning.

ℹ️ How to operate our machine. The steps follow the original operating manual. At handover we'll show you everything again in peace – in case of doubt, the manufacturer's manual supplied always applies. Our unit has two tanks (Bowl I and Bowl II) that you can set separately.

The control panel in brief

On / Off

Press once to switch on. To switch off, hold the button for about 3 seconds.

Mode
Bowl I/II

Press repeatedly to choose the mode for each tank: slush mode (stirrer + cooling, makes slush), cooling mode (cooling only) or off. The active indicator lights up.

+ / −

In slush mode this sets the speed 1–7: the higher the setting, the thicker (less watery) the slush. In cooling mode it controls the temperature (1–7 °C).

Light

Turns the light in the lid on and off.

In 6 steps to finished slush

  1. Set up

Place the machine on a firm, level surface near a normal 230 V socket. Do not place it directly next to heat sources (stove, heater, sun) and leave some space at the back so it can cool.

Important after transport: The machine is always transported upright – never lying down. If it does get tipped over at some point, let it stand upright for a few hours before switching on.

  2. Prepare the mix

Mix syrup with water – rule of thumb: 1 part syrup to 5 parts water (the exact ratio is on the syrup bottle). Important: the mix needs enough sugar (at least 13 Brix) – otherwise the slush won't turn creamy and the stirrer can be damaged. Plain water without syrup must never be filled in.

  3. Fill the tank

Remove the lid (lift at the back and pull forward out). Fill in the prepared mix without exceeding the max marking ("Maximum Level"). Do not fill in hot liquids (over 25 °C). Then put the lid back on.

  4. Switch on & choose slush mode

Plug in and press the on button. Use the mode button to select slush mode for the filled tank and set the desired speed with +/− (for creamy slush e.g. speed 4–6).

  5. Wait until it's ready

Now a little patience: the slush is usually ready after about 45–60 minutes. It's best to start the machine in good time before the event, then the first glass is cold on schedule.

  6. Serve

Hold a cup under the dispensing tap and pull the lever – done. Keep an eye on the fill level and top up with pre-mixed syrup if needed (do not tip the unit while there is content in the tank).

After the event

Set the tank to cooling mode so the remaining slush can be dispensed completely through the tap. Then switch off (hold on/off for about 3 sec.) and pull the plug. Please only rinse the tanks roughly with water – we take care of the thorough, hygienic final cleaning and disinfection. So you don't need to dismantle the machine.

Please note

Tips & a little troubleshooting

No slush ice is forming
Most common reasons: the wrong mode is selected (it must be "slush"), there's too little sugar/syrup in the mix, or the machine is too close to a heat source or has too little air. Check the mode, add more syrup, choose a cooler spot.
The slush is too hard or too runny
Adjust via the speed (+/−): higher setting = thicker, lower setting = softer. Too hard often results from a "thin" mix, too runny from too little syrup or too short a runtime.
The stirrer (the spiral) isn't turning
Check whether the unit is really switched on and the right mode is active. If there's blocked ice in the tank, switch briefly to cooling/off mode and let it thaw.
The unit won't start
Is the plug firmly in the socket? Was the on button pressed? If both are fine and nothing runs, please get in touch with us.
Nothing comes out of the tap
Usually blocked ice in the tank (mix too firm). Switch to cooling mode, let it thaw a little, then it flows again.
Safety
230 V device: always keep plug and electronics dry, don't pour water over the housing, don't open the housing yourself and don't let children play at the machine unsupervised.
